Getting Started

What is RainbowHum?

RainbowHum is the DeviENT Mycelial Network, a living network for Earth & Nature Trusts/Trustees (ENTs): a living web where Earth‑honoring individuals, groups, and spaces (ENTs) connect like fungal mycelium—sharing support, referrals, and resources so communities can thrive together instead of in isolation.

How do I join the network?

Register for a free Seeker account, then apply to become an ENT via the "Apply" page. Applications are reviewed by the network stewards. Approval grants you a locus on the map and the ability to post into The Hum — connecting with other ENTs across the DeviENT Mycelial Network.

What is a "Locus"?

A Locus is your geographic anchor point on the map — the approximate location from which your ENT participates in the DeviENT Mycelial Network. It does not need to be precise; it simply places your node within the web so others can find and connect with you.

What is "The Hum"?

The Hum is the living community feed — a shared space where ENTs post essays, events, offerings, classifieds, and announcements. It is how the DeviENT Mycelial Network shares resources, referrals, and knowledge so Earth-honoring communities can thrive together.

ENTs & Signals

What types of signals can I transmit?

The Hum supports five signal types: 📝 Essay — long-form writing, reflections, field reports; 📡 Classified — notices, listings, community posts; 🗓️ Event — gatherings, rituals, time-based happenings; 🌿 Offering — services, gifts, exchanges; 📣 Announcement — network-wide broadcasts and updates.

What are "Frequencies"?

Each ENT is associated with a primary frequency — a category that describes the nature and character of the Earth-honoring trust or trustee. The eight frequencies are Collective, Shop, Healing Space, Portal, Studio, Land / Farm, Community Hub, and Archive / Library. They help seekers find ENTs whose essence resonates with their own path.

Can I edit or delete my signals after posting?

Currently signals are immutable once transmitted — they are records of a moment in the field. You can contact the network stewards to request removal of a signal in exceptional circumstances.

What is a "Region Tag"?

Region tags are broad geographic descriptors (e.g. "Pacific Northwest", "Boreal Fringe", "High Desert") that help cluster ENTs in the directory and on the map, making it easy for seekers to find Earth-honoring communities near them. You set yours during ENT registration.

Mycelial Relations

What are Mycelial Relations?

Mycelial Relations are directional links between two ENTs that describe the nature of their trust connection — Ally, Parent, Sibling, or similar. They visualise the web of mutual support, referrals, and shared resources that defines RainbowHum, appearing as glowing threads on the map.

Who can create relations?

Any authenticated ENT can define a relation between themselves and another ENT in the DeviENT Mycelial Network. Relations are stored in the directory and visible to all members.

Can relations be removed?

Yes — the ENT that created a relation can delete it at any time via the Relations Builder page.

Privacy & Safety

How precise is my location on the map?

You choose during registration: Anchored shows your exact coordinates, while Floating shows only your zip-area center — an approximate location that keeps your precise address private. Pick whichever privacy level feels comfortable for your ENT.

Who can see my profile and signals?

All registered network members can see ENT profiles and signals. The network is intentionally semi-open — content is not indexed by public search engines, but is accessible to anyone with an account.

How is my password stored?

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. We never store plaintext credentials. Account sessions use signed tokens with configurable expiry.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us via the Contact page with your username and a deletion request. We will remove your account and associated data within 7 days.

Membership Tiers

What is the free "Seeker" tier?

The Seeker tier is a free account with full read access to the network — map, directory, Hum, and signal detail pages. Seekers can also apply to register one ENT listing (via Join the Network) and post Essay and Classified signals once approved. Upgrading unlocks more ENT listings and the rest of the signal types.

What does upgrading unlock?

Paid tiers (Grove Keeper, Market Keeper, Network Steward) unlock ENT registration, posting to The Hum, priority application review, custom locus styling, advanced analytics, and more. See the Upgrade page for the full comparison.

Are lifetime plans available?

Founding lifetime plans are offered as limited early-backer crowdfunding options. Once the founding round closes, lifetime pricing will no longer be available. Check the Upgrade page for current availability.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from the Upgrade page — click "Cancel subscription" on your current plan card. Your access continues until the end of your billing period, then reverts to Seeker.

Administration

How do I report a harmful signal or ENT?

Use the Contact page to file a report. Include the ENT name or signal ID and a brief description. Network stewards review all reports within 48 hours.

How are ENT applications reviewed?

Applications are reviewed manually by network admins. We look for genuine alignment with the network’s purpose. Typical review time is 3–7 days. You will receive an email notification of the outcome.
